With so many people around you attempting to achieve the same, broad goal, it is difficult to determine how one person can make a difference in the world. For some people it isn’t a valiant effort to stand out from the masses, instead it is a selfless activity that provides a person with feelings of self-worth and contentment.
The simplest definition for making a difference is to have an affect. Generally, this applies to people who aim to have an affect on the world. Where, why and how they choose to make a difference relies simply on who he or she is and what he or she hopes to accomplish. In the case of some Towson University students and staff, simple acts of kindness through service to their community give them the satisfaction of knowing that have affected people’s lives positively.
